A Proposed 250 MW solar thermal plant in Queensland, Australia by AREVA Solar was selected as a preferred project for the solar flagships program by the Australian Goverment. It is a proposed hybrid solar thermal/gas power plant that will offer an international showcase for utility scale, standalone CLFR power projects. AREVA’s CLFR technology utilizes the unique properties and characteristics of the SOLKOTE Selective Coating for its absorber surface.

“Once completed, the proposed project will be the largest of its kind and one of the most environmentally responsible power production plants in the world. Its innovative hybrid design will deliver energy as needed, even when the sun isn’t shining,” – AREVA Renewables CEO Anil Srivastava
