2015 – Quarter 3

For the U.S., a cool Spring and unique weather events leads to a delayed A/C season for most. At the same time, draught continues in the West all year and the East narrowly avoids hurricane Joaquin. So much of the insulation industry is driven by weather, and major abnormal weather events trigger changes in purchasing patterns for insulation products. The larger trend, however, is that we will continue to see warmer than average temperatures across the board, which makes insulating a high priority for long term comfort control and energy savings.

Also, SOLEC recently announced the launch of its brand new website, http://www.solec.org. Please see the press release below and be sure to visit and see all the new content and user-friendly features!
